The Tandem went out on its first outing on the 29th July raising £100 at the Romsey Sport Fair. The Guess the weight of a touring pannier competition to win a set of front and rear lights donated by Cycle World Romsey, was won by a local Romsey family which will hopefully "Brighten" up there day when they receive them.
Not only did we get the tandem finished just in time (massive PHEW moment 10 minutes after the event started) we were able to ride it and let it be ridden by other enthusiastic couples, and im pleased to say it all worked and after a few minor tweeks will be ready for its first road touring outing .
The day also saw us meeting and holding a real life OLYMPIC TORCH, and obviously we couldn't pass up the opportunity to ride around with it on the Tandem, so below the picture shows a very excited Charlotte on the back holding the torch.
We would like to say a massive Thank You to everyone who donated and visited the stall at the Sports Fair, we had an excellent day and would like to Thank Test Valley for inviting us.
